Walk in Shanghai Guilin Park
Guilin Park ( 桂林公园) is an urban park located Xuhui District, Shanghai. It is a park that combines the classical garden style of Jiangnan and modern historical relics.
Established in 1929, it was known as the Huang’s Garden and was once the private garden of Shanghai’s rich merchant tycoon, Huang Jinrong.
In 1958 it became a public park maintained by the Shanghai Garden Management Office and it received the name Guilin Park due to the garden’s osmanthus trees.
The park covers a total area of 35,500 square meters, of which 20,500 square meters are green areas and 2,900 square meters are water bodies.
