Winter Walk in Kyoto – Sanneizaka Street
Sanneizaka (産寧坂) or Sannenzaka (三年坂) is a bustling pedestrian street on a hill lined with souvenir stalls, pottery stores, ryotei (traditional Japanese restaurants) and traditional Japanese architecture. It is a famous sightseeing spot in Higashiyama Ward in Kyoto.
The area has been selected as an Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings under the Law for Protection of Cultural Properties.
