Walk in Shanghai – Panglong Tiandi
Panglong (蟠龙) is a town, also known as Panglong Ancient Town, is located in Chongming District, Shanghai. The town was recorded as early as the Tianbao period of the Tang Dynasty, and during the Yuan Dynasty began to be called “Panglong Town”.
On January 10, 2008, the local area was designated as the Shanghai Historic Landscape Protection Zone. In 2014, the planning of Panglong Tiandi (蟠龙天地) was initiated and the construction started in 2019. On April 29, 2023, Panglong Tiandi was publicly unveiled.
It is an urban village renovation project, a new consumption demonstration project in the Yangtze River Delta. It is also a large complex integrating commercial, residential, hotel and green space, with 75,000 square meters of commercial floor space and 230,000 square meters of public green space.
