Walk in Shanghai International Fashion Center
Shanghai International Fashion Center (上海国际时尚中心, SIFC) is a shopping mall and fashion industrial park by the Huangpu River in Yangpu District, Shanghai.
It is belongs to the Orient International Group, and is a national 4A level tourist attraction with a building area of 143,000 square meters.
Shanghai International Fashion Center is divided into six areas, including fashion club, multi-functional showroom, fashion boutique warehouse, entertainment and catering, creative offices and designers’ workstations.
Among them, the showroom is 60 meters long and 27 meters wide, which is the largest showroom in Asia. The shopping venue is the largest in the center of Shanghai.
It is one of the birthplaces of China’s modern industrial civilization with many industrial facilities, including China’s first modern water plant, the largest thermal power plant in the Far East, the earliest gas heating plant in China, and the largest soap manufacturing plant in the Far East.
Among them, the Yangshupu Power Plant is an important relic of the Yangpu Riverfront. Built in 1910, it was once honored as the first power plant in the Far East, and the large chimney standing on the riverside was once one of the tallest buildings in China.
Now, through artistic design and renovation, this idle factory has been transformed into a waterfront landmark for ecological sharing and artistic appreciation.
