Walk in London – St. Paul’s Cathedral to Palace of Westminster

London is the capital and largest city of England and the United Kingdom. It stands on the River Thames in south-east England. There are many historical sights and modern architecture in this European city.

On this walk we start at the St. Paul’s Cathedral and walk all the way East to the Palace of Westminster with the Big Ben.

St Paul’s Cathedral is an Anglican cathedral in London and is the seat of the Bishop of London. The cathedral serves as the mother church of the Diocese of London. It is on Ludgate Hill at the highest point of the City of London and is a Grade I listed building.

Its dedication to Paul the Apostle dates back to the original church on this site, founded in AD 604. The present cathedral, dating from the late 17th century, was designed in the English Baroque style by Sir Christopher Wren.

The Palace of Westminster serves as the meeting place for both the House of Commons and the House of Lords, the two houses of the Parliament of the United Kingdom. Informally known as the Houses of Parliament, the Palace lies on the north bank of the River Thames in the City of Westminster, in central London.
