Red-tailed Minla – Bird Sound
The red-tailed minla is a passerine bird in the family Leiothrichidae. It is the only species in the genus Minla.
Feature:
Body length 12~15 cm. Iris gray. The upper bill is black and the lower bill is lead gray. Feet grayish brown.
The male bird’s forehead, top of head, back pillow, and eyeline are black, and the eyebrow line is long, broad, and white.
The back and waist are olive gray, the wings are black, the feather edges are white, the upper tail coverts are black, and the outside and ends are red.
The cheeks, chin, and throat are white, the chest and abdomen are light yellow or light yellowish white, the flanks are light gray, and the lower tail coverts are yellow.
The female bird is like the male bird, but the back and waist are olive brown, the wing edges are white or slightly yellow, and the outer and ends of the tail feathers are light red.
Distributed:
India, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Nepal, southern China, northern Southeast Asia.
