Villa Piercy, Bolotana, Sardinia, Italy – Aerial View
Villa Piercy is an old country villa in the province of Nuoro, Sardinia, Italy. It is located in the territory of Bolotana.
The villa belonged to the Welsh engineer Benjamin Piercy, who lived there with his family after moving to Sardinia having been commissioned to design and direct the work of executing the island’s railway network.
The construction of the villa took place in the period between 1879 and 1882. The work was coordinated and directed by Benjamin Piercy himself.
Surrounding the villa is a four-hectare English-style garden in which the owner planted numerous exotic plant species that he brought back with him from his travels to various countries around the world.
