Corbett Gardens is a garden located in Bowral, the largest town in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales, Australia, about ninety minutes southwest of Sydney.
The garden is a true gem of the Tulip Time Festival and has a rich history dating back to 1911.
It all began when Mrs. Ayda Corbett, with her brilliant suggestion, inspired the local tourist association to purchase Deadman’s Paddock and transform it into a breathtaking public garden.
Nestled in the heart of the town, Corbett Gardens is a haven of vibrant tulips, dazzling springtime bulbs, and an array of lush shrubs and trees.
As one of the region’s oldest and most exquisite gardens, it takes centre stage during the Spring Garden Festival. With an astounding display of over 75,000 massed tulips and 15,000 annuals, this festival is a sight to behold. It’s no wonder that over 40,000 people eagerly flock to this event each year, held in September over two glorious weeks.
