Mount Emei in China – Amazing Treasure in the Sea of Clouds

Mount Emei (峨眉山[) is a 3,099-metre-tall (10,167 ft) mountain located in Sichuan Province, China, and is the highest of the Four Sacred Buddhist Mountains of China.

Administratively, Mount Emei is located near the county-level city of the same name, Emeishan City (峨眉山市), which is in turn part of the prefecture-level city of Leshan.

Here, you can see the majestic and beautiful natural scenery, and feel the cultural flavor accumulated for thousands of years.

Emei martial arts, Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism, and the ancient temples are all marvelous. The mountain was made a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1996.
