Zhaojialou is located in Pujiang Town, Minhang District, Shanghai. It is the earliest land reclamation area. The Zhaojialou culture is the origin of Shanghai’s farming culture.
Zhaojialou is an ancient water town which has undergone extensive rebuilding and renovation. This is the first time I have been to Zhaojialou, and it is strange to say, because I am not interested in this kind of old town that has been renovated and rebuilt and is full of commercial flavors. The scene of the ancient town was as I expected.
