Walk in Shanghai – Xinzhuang
Xinzhuang (莘庄) is a town located in Minhang District in the center of Shanghai.
Xinzhuang had formed land before the 6th century AD, and formed a town during the Southern Song Dynasty. In the 34th year of Guangxu, the Shanghai-Hangzhou Railway was built and Xinzhuang Station was built.
The People’s Government of Xinzhuang Town was established in May 1966.
After several years of construction, Xinzhuang has been completely renewed. The streets are lined with trees, and the streets are clean and tidy. It is also a place where the overseas population like to live in Shanghai.
The transportation is developed and convenient. With the opening of Shanghai Metro Line 1, Xinzhuang has become a convenient area for people and logistics.
