Walk in Shanghai – Magnolia Plaza on the North Bund

Shanghai Magnolia Plaza (上海北外滩白玉兰广场) or Sinar Mas Plaza located on the North Bund in the Hongkou District of Shanghai is an office, shopping and entertainment complex. It officially opened at the end of 2018.

There are three buildings in Shanghai Magnolia Plaza, including a 66-storey, 320-meter office building with a helipad on the top floor, which was completed on January 4, 2017. There is also a 39-story hotel 172 meters high and a 112,000 square meter shopping and entertainment center with a height of 47 meters.

Underground, there is the Line 12 subway, as well as the Shanghai International Cruise Terminal on the river. The opposite bank of the Huangpu River, Lujiazui financial district skyscrapers are visible.

The North Bund relies on the west bank of the Huangpu River. This is not as overcrowded as the Bund Viewing Area, but the scenery is also beautiful.

It’s the confluence of the Huangpu River and Suzhou Creek, the location of the view is excellent. On summer nights, this is also a good place for people to cool off.
