Walk in Shanghai – Huinan Town
Huinan Town (惠南镇) is a town in Pudong New District, Shanghai. The town is located at the southeast edge of the Yangtze River Delta and has a subtropical maritime climate. It has an area of 65.78 square kilometers.
Huinan Town was built in 1386 in the 19th year of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). It was originally built with square walls, about 1 km long on each side, which were demolished one after another in the 1950’s.
