Walk in Shanghai – Early Spring in Lu Xun Park

Lu Xun Park (鲁迅公园) is located in Hongkou District, Shanghai.

It covers an area of 286300 square meters. It is the main historical and cultural Memorial Park in Shanghai and the first sports park in China.

Lu Xun’s tomb is a national key cultural relics protection unit, and was moved from the Universal Cemetery to this park in 1956, the 20th anniversary of Lu Xun’s death.

Lu Xun (September 25st 1881 – October 19st 1936) was a leading figure of modern Chinese literature. Writing in Vernacular Chinese and Classical Chinese, he was a short story writer, editor, translator, literary critic, essayist, poet, and designer.

The park is very lively. It seems that citizens are doing their own sports in every corner, including dancing, running, walking, Tai Chi, badminton, singing and so on. This is a morning for ordinary people in Shanghai.
