Walk in Shanghai – Daining Lingshi Park

Daining Lingshi Park (大宁灵石公园) is located in Shanghai’s Jing’an District. It is an ecological landscape urban park, one of the three major green areas identified in Shanghai’s urban master plan and the largest centralized green area in Shanghai’s Puxi (the historic center of Shanghai).

The park was originally planned in the 1980s and was later expanded by merging the original Daning Park and Guangzhong Park. It has a total area of about 680,000 square meters.

The park has four gates, namely the North Gate (the main gate); the West Gate, also known as the Mountain Gate; the South Gate, also known as the Water Gate; the East Gate.

The park is designed from east to west. A tributary of the Huangpu River, the Pengyue Pu River, flows through the park from south to north. The park has an artificial lake of about 70,000 square meters.

A large number of landscape plants are planted in Daining Lingshi Park. Here, you can see all kinds of beautiful flowers, including tulips, cherry blossoms, peach blossoms, peonies, roses and so on.

You can stroll along the lakeside path and enjoy the beauty of the lake reflecting the shadow of flowers. You can also sit on the lawn and enjoy the gentle touch of sunshine and breeze.

The park’s green environment and landscape features make it one of the alternative wedding photography locations for couples in Shanghai.
