Walk in Ancient Qinglian Temple – Jincheng, Shanxi, China

Ancient Qinglian Temple (古青莲寺; Ancient Green Lotus Temple) is located on the hillside of Xiashi Mountain in Sinanzhuang Village (寺南庄村), Jincun Town, Zezhou County, 17 kilometers southeast of Jincheng City (晋城市), Shanxi Province, China.

It was originally combined with Qinglian Temple (青莲寺) into one temple, and it was divided into two temples in Song Dynasty (960-1279).

This temple is relatively ancient. During the Tianbao period of the Northern Qi Dynasty (550-559), the eminent monk Huiyuan founded the Taoist temple here, and it was rebuilt in the Tang Dynasty (618-907).

Inside the temple is a Tibetan Buddhist pagoda, about 25 meters high, built in the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644).
