Traditional Basket Weaving – Bolgatanga, Ghana
Bolgatanga, colloquially known as Bolga, is a town and the capital of the Bolgatanga Municipality and Upper East Region of Ghana in Africa, adjacent to the border with Burkina Faso.
This film is about the traditional method of basket weaving in the Northern Region of Ghana.
From May until September the rainy season provides lush green pastures and much needed shade. This five-month period is the time the villagers make money before the dry season.
