Song about Adiyogi Shiva, the First Yogi
It is believed that Adiyogi Shiva (Shankara) is the very first yogi and guru from whom all yogic sciences originated.
The Adiyogi Shiva bust is located at the Isha Yoga Center (ಈಶ ಯೋಗ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಚಿಕ್ಕಬಳ್ಳಾಪುರ) in Coimbatore City, the state of Tamil Nadu, India. The bust was established to inspire people towards inner well-being through yoga.
It is recognized by the Guinness World Records as the “Largest Bust Sculpture” in the world with a height of 34 meters (112 feet). Designed by Jaggi Vasudev, the founder and head of the Isha Foundation, the statue weighs around 500 tonnes.
To mark the unveiling of the statue, the song “Adiyogi – the source of yoga” was created.
The exact copy of this statue was recently officially unveiled on the foothills of Nandi Hills in Chikkaballapur District in the state of Karnataka.
