Qiandeng Lake in Foshan, China
Qiandeng Lake (Thousand Lantern Lake; 千灯湖) is located in Nanhai District, Foshan City, Guangdong Province, China.
It is a fully open park covering an area of about 302 acres, with a lake surface of about 132 acres (88,000 square meters), a shoreline of about 2.2 kilometers, and a water depth of 0.8-1.2 meters along the lake shore, with a central depth of 2.8 meters.
The 8th of October, 2015, lake park was awarded the Global Urban Open Space Award, the “Oscar” of the global landscape design industry, in San Francisco, USA, becoming the first project in China to win this award.
