Plum & Japanese Allspice – Fuchu City Local Forest Museum, Tokyo

I went to see the plum blossoms at the Fuchu City Local Forest Museum. The only new flowering was the Japanese allspice.

Japanese allspice (Chimonanthus praecox), also known as wintersweet, is a species of flowering plant in the genus Chimonanthus of the family Calycanthaceae, native to China. The plant is known as làméi (蠟梅) in Chinese.

Fuchu is a city located in western Tokyo Metropolis, Japan.
