Ellbacher Moor in the Winter – Bad Tölz, Germany

Bad Tölz is a town in Bavaria, Germany and the administrative center of the Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen district.

In January, we went in search of winter. In the Ellbacher Moor (near Bad Tölz, Upper Bavaria, Germany) we found winter, least in places.

We parked at the “Naturbad Eichmühle” and followed the small circular path. In many places you have a fantastic view of the Alps, walk along the edge of the forest or through the forest and cross fields that lead to Ellbach.

In Ellbach the path then branches off directly into the moor. Later it goes a bit next to the railway line and then along the brook “Ellbach” back to the starting point.

The bright blue winter day, the sparkling snow, the ice crystals on the grass and the beautiful moorland with a view of the Alps.
