Flight over Buenos Aires and Landing at the Airport
Buenos Aires, officially the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, is the capital city of Argentina.
The city is located on the western shore of the Río de la Plata (lit. “river of silver”), also called the River Plate, on South America’s southeastern coast. “Buenos Aires” is Spanish for “fair winds” or “good airs”.
The city is served by three main airports such as:
Ministro Pistarini International Airport, located 22 km southwest of the city in the municipality of Ezeiza, serving mostly international routes and some domestic flights.
Aeroparque Jorge Newbery, located in the city proper, with scheduled domestic flights and some regional flights within southern South America.
El Palomar Airport, located 18km west of the city in the municipality of El Palomar, with a limited number of scheduled domestic flights.
