Brown-headed Thrush in Nature
The brown-headed thrush, sometimes known as the brown thrush, is a species of bird in the family Turdidae.
Features:
Body length 22 cm. Iris dark brown. The upper beak is dark brown, the lower beak is yellow, and the tip of the mouth is black. Feet tan. The male head and throat are dark brown, the back is gray-brown, the chest and flanks are orange-red, and the belly and tail coverts are white.
The female bird is similar to the male bird, but the head and back are lighter brown, the throat is white, and there are dark brown fine vertical stripes.
Distribution:
It breeds in Sakhalin, the Kuril Islands and Japan, migrates to southeastern China, Taiwan, and the Philippines to keep warm in winter.
