Winter Walk in Berlin, Germany
Berlin is the capital and largest city of Germany by both area and population. It straddles the banks of the Spree, which flows into the Havel (a tributary of the Elbe) in the western borough of Spandau.
Due to its location in the European Plain, Berlin is influenced by a temperate seasonal climate.
Tonight’s route starts at the Reichstag building.
We continue via the Brandenburg Gate to the Holocaust Memorial, get to the Potsdamer Platz and eventually back to the area “Unter den Linden”.
Our walking tour on this winter afternoon finishes at the central Alexanderplatz, having walked a good portion of Berlin’s east side along the old wall once dividing the city.
