White-breasted Waterhen – Natural Bird Sound

The white-breasted waterhen is a waterbird of the rail and crake family, Rallidae, that is widely distributed across South and Southeast Asia.

Feature:
The body length is 28 to 33 cm. Iris reddish-brown. Mouth yellow-green, red above base. The feet are long and orange.

Androgynous. The face, neck and upper abdomen are white, the lower abdomen and tail coverts are reddish brown, and the tail is short. During the breeding season, the base of the upper beak of male birds is brighter and enlarged than that of female birds.

The chicks are black all over, with white spots behind the ears, and dark brown bills and feet.
