Wuyuan Road is in Xuhui District, Shanghai, from Changshu Road in the east to Wukang Road in the west.
During the French Concession, Wuyuan Road was called Zhao Bishop Road. The name was changed after the liberation, taking the name of a county in Inner Mongolia, officially the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. This is a characteristic of Shanghai road names, using place names from all over the country.
