Walking around Hoi An Ancient Town – Quang Nam, Vietnam
Hoi An is a city in Quang Nam Province on Vietnam’s central coast known for its well-preserved Ancient Town, formerly known as Fai-Fo or Faifoo.
In 1999 the old town was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO as a well-preserved example of a Southeast Asian trading port of the 15th to 19th centuries, with buildings that display a blend of local and foreign influences.
Along with the Cu Lao Cham archipelago, it is part of the Cu Lao Cham-Hoi An Biosphere Reserve, designated in 2009.
