Walk in Wat Pha Lat Temple – Chiang Mai, Thailand
Wat Pha Lat (วัดผาลาด) is a small, ancient, statue-rich Buddhist temple & monastery hidden in a woodland and reached via a hiking trail. The temple is located in Doi Suthep-Pui National Park, Chiang Mai Province.
Formerly an abandoned temple was restored and revived to have the status of a temple and place of meditation.
The name of Wat Pha Lat comes from the word Phalerd because people followed the elephants along the stream and waterfall. Then, many people slipped and fell. When the temple was established, it was named after the waterfall.
