Walk in Shanghai – LaLaport Shopping Center in Jinqiao
Japan in 39 years to settle in Shanghai LaLaport shopping center. I just had time to rush to see what this Japanese shopping center is all about.
The gigantic installation of Gundam in front of the mall is really amazing, wearing white armor towering there is very conspicuous. People passing by will certainly be attracted by this device.
There are not many customers in the mall, probably because I went earlier. The overall area of the mall is not too big, and the layout is quite reasonable. From time to time, audio guide prompts come from the mall, in Chinese, English and Japanese. When I heard Japanese, it was a bit like shopping in a Japanese mall.
The mall is located in Jinqiao, the location is still a bit remote, public transportation is not well developed, it may be more convenient to come by car. So why is LaLaport located in Jinqiao? Apparently this will become the future Jinqiao Shanghai sub-center and the ninth largest sub-center in Shanghai.
Jinqiao is a town of Pudong New District, Shanghai. It is located in the middle of Pudong, with Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park on its south, Huangpu River at its north, overlooking Lujiazui Financial and Trade Center to its west. On its north side, is Waigaoqiao Free Trade Zone and harbor.
