Walk in Shanghai – Fahuazhen Road

Fahuazhen Road is in Changning District, Shanghai. From Yan’an West Road in the west to Huaihai West Road in the east.

Fahuazhen Road, a well-known ancient road, it was named after the Fahua Zen Temple built in the Northern Song Dynasty during the Kaibao period.

Legend has it that Fahua Town was the first town to appear in Shanghai, and there is a saying that “Fahua came first, and then Shanghai was founded”. Its river bank was once a prosperous scene for people’s temple fair, but nowadays this street is no different from an ordinary road, with a lot of stores and everything, making it a good place to trip.
