Walk in Erlangen, Germany

Walk in Erlangen, Germany

Erlangen is a Middle Franconian city in Bavaria, Germany. It is the smallest of the eight major cities in Bavaria.

Erlangen is home to a university which we will see on this walking tour.

We start our Erlangen tour after arriving at the train station. We quickly are at the Hugenottenplatz to with the Hugenotten Church. From there we head south to the city center, passing the Neustädter Kirche.

From the city center we get to the Schlossgarten Erlangen which is pretty during fall with all the colorful foliage. This garden faces the baroque palace, which now part of the local university. Some statues from the 1700s can also be seen there.

Back to the inner city center we explore more smaller streets around the university and get to the northern area up until the Altstädter Trinity Church (Altstädter Dreifaltigkeitskirche).

At last we head back to the starting point of our tour – the Erlangen train station and end this Erlangen walking tour.
