Sunrise at the Carcangiolas Tower – Quartu Sant’Elena, Sardinia
Quartu Sant’Elena, located four miles East from Cagliari on the ancient Roman road, is a city and comune in the Metropolitan City of Cagliari, Sardinia, Italy. It is the third biggest city of Sardinia.
The Carcangiolas tower (Torre di Carcangiolas) is a coastal tower of Quartu Sant’Elena. It rises, in a ruined state, on the Poetto beach. The remains of an ancient tower, which collapsed into the sea, arise a short distance from the shoreline.
