Sawara Grand Festival – Katori City, Chiba, Japan
Summer Sawara Grand Festival (佐原の大祭) in July and Autumn Sawara Grand Festival in October is one of the three major float festivals in the Kanto region (関東地方), a geographical region of Honshu, the largest island of Japan. The festival has a tradition of about 300 years.
It was listed as a UNESCO World Intangible Cultural Heritage in December 2016.
