Orange-cheeked Waxbill – Natural Bird Sound

The orange-cheeked waxbill is a common species of estrildid finch native to western and central Africa, with an estimated global extent of occurrence of 3,600,000 km².

Features:
Body length 17 cm. Iris light brown. Mouth stubby, red. Feet black. Male and female plumage is similar. Adult birds have gray head, orange-red cheeks, brown back and wings, red waist and tail coverts, long pointed tail, black, throat, chest, and abdomen dirty white. The sub-adult bird has a gray-brown top, gray-black bill, and a small and pale orange-red cheek.
