Hong Kong Bus Route 65 – North Point Ferry Pier to Stanley

Take a ride on the Hong Kong bus, route 65 from North Point Ferry Pier to the beautiful village of Stanley and its surroundings on the south of Hong Kong Island.

North Point Ferry Pier (北角碼頭) is a ferry pier in North Point, Hong Kong and it is near the site of the former North Point Estate (北角邨). It started operation in 1963. In 1979, a second passenger berth opened that is located west of the older one.

Until 14 May 2016, the large open-air North Point Ferry Pier Bus Terminus was situated immediately inland of the pier, but that has now been relocated one block east, as ‘North Point Ferry Pier Public Transport Interchange’ under a new building, and a new building on the old bus station site.

Stanley, or Chek Chue, is a coastal town and a popular tourist attraction in Hong Kong. It is located on a peninsula on Hong Kong Island. It is east of Repulse Bay and west of Shek O, adjacent to Chung Hom Kok and Tai Tam. Administratively, it is part of the Southern District.

The Chinese name “Chek Chue” refers to the original village-town but “Stanley” generally refers to all the surrounding areas of the peninsula on Hong Kong Island.
