4 Seasons in Ostpark – Munich, Germany
The Ostpark is a public park in Munich, Germany. It was planned since the 1960s and opened in 1973.
The park was created from a formerly flat field, a landscape park with lawns, tree-covered hills and water areas as a popular local recreation area in the south-east of Munich.
In 1982 the park was expanded in the second construction phase.
To the west of the park, a large lake was created with a large central island. The Michaeligarten beer garden is located on the northern shore of the lake.
In June 2015 a renovated playground was opened in the Ostpark, close to the Michaeligarten beer garden. It has slides, swings, climbing facilities, an area for playing with water and sand and a wooden hut. It also has two tables with benches and a number of additional benches. The playground is accessible for children in wheelchairs.
The best way to get to the Ostpark is to take the U5 underground line.
