Santa Barbara is a coastal city in Santa Barbara County, California, of which it is also the county seat.
Situated on a south-facing section of coastline, the longest such section on the West Coast of the United States, the city lies between the steeply rising Santa Ynez Mountains and the Pacific Ocean.
East Beach located in Santa Barbara, is often the first beach seen upon entering the city limits. East Beach is separated from West Beach by Stearn’s Wharf, and is proximal to downtown Santa Barbara.
East Beach is the primary beach for tourists, as some of the major Santa Barbara hotels face this beach.
