Early Roses, Hydrangea, Satsuki – Akirudai Park, Akiruno, Tokyo
Akiruno is a city located in the western portion of Tokyo Metropolis, Japan. The total area of the city is 73.47 square kilometres.
Hydrangea common names hydrangea or hortensia, is a genus of 70–75 species of flowering plants native to Asia and the Americas. By far the greatest species diversity is in eastern Asia, notably Korea, China, and Japan. Most are shrubs 1 to 3 meters tall, but some are small trees, and others lianas reaching up to 30 m by climbing up trees.
Satsuki azalea is a cultivar group of the species Rhododendron indicum, a type of azalea extensively cultivated by the Japanese. It is native to the mountains of Japan.
