Black Bulbul (Whitehead Type) – Bird Sound
The black bulbul, also known as the Himalayan black bulbul or Asian black bulbul, is a member of the bulbul family of passerine birds.
Body length 24 cm. Iris dark brown. Mouth and feet bright red, Androgynous. The head, neck, back, and chest are all black and shiny, with short black crest feathers on the top of the head. The wings are short, and the tail feathers are long and slightly forked, with a thin gray edge. Underbelly grey-black.
There is a special subspecies of the red-billed black bulbul, the white-headed type, which is white from head to chest, also known as the white-headed black bulbul.
Distributed:
Taiwan’s endemic subspecies of birds, distributed in the middle and low altitude hillsides, woods, parks and other areas below 1500 meters.
The distribution of other subspecies starts from the Himalayas in the west, passes through South China, and reaches the Indo-China Peninsula in the south.
