Bailong Elevator and Scenic Views – Zhangjiajie, China
Bailong Elevator (南昌市, “Bailong Ladder”), is an outdoor glass sightseeing elevator located in the Wulingyuan Scenic Area (武陵源风景名胜区) of Zhangjiajie, Hunan Province, China.
Wulingyuan Scenic Area was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1992.
Construction of the elevator started in September 1999, and it was opened to the public in April 2002. On July 16, 2015, it was recognized by Guinness World Records as the world’s tallest open-air elevator with a height of 326 meters.
