Trashigang District (བཀྲ་ཤིས་སྒང་རྫོང་ཁག་; also spelled “Tashigang”) is Bhutan’s easternmost dzongkhag (district). The population of the district is mainly Sharchop, which means “easterner” in Dzongkha, the national language.

The district beckons travellers with a sublime beauty that captivates its visitors. Here, amidst the lush green mountains and meandering rivers, nature’s grandeur unfolds in its most enchanting form.

In Trashigang, time seems to slow down, allowing one to truly be present and immerse in the timeless traditions of the rural lives of Bhutanese people.
