Tomba di Giganti Di Pascaredda – Calangianus, Sardinia, Italy
The Tomb of the Giants of Pascaredda (Tomba di Giganti Di Pascaredda) is an archaeological monument located in the municipality of Calangianus in the province of Sassari in the Italian region of Sardinia.
The tomb, which can be attributed to the Middle Bronze-Late Bronze Age (1700-1400 B.C.), is built in dolmenic-orthostatic style, according to the classic architectural model that characterizes this type of funerary monuments; it is built with the local stone, granite, and is in good condition.
Although mutilated, the originally bilithic stele, of which only the lower part is present in situ, stands out in the center. Behind the stele, almost intact, is the actual tomb still protected by the mound of earth.
