Society Finch – Natural Bird Sound

Society Finch – Natural Bird Sound

Known as the Society finch in North America and the Bengalese finch elsewhere, Lonchura striata domestica is a domesticated finch not found in nature.

Distribution:

The white-rumped munia or white-rumped mannikin, sometimes called striated finch in aviculture, is a small passerine bird from the family of waxbill “finches”.

It is native to tropical continental Asia and some adjacent islands.

Its domesticated descendant, the society finch or Bengalese finch, is found worldwide as a pet and a biological model organism. Now it has become one of the pet birds all over the world.
