Yuyuan is of course a place with a story, but with the changes in history, its glory has been forgotten and hidden. As early as the 1920s, it was once a famous high-end residential area in Shanghai, a street where private houses were gathered. Many celebrities, politicians, business celebrities, literati lived and lived there. During Wang Jingwei’s period, this was the street where Wang government officials concentrated. Yuyuan was gone, and Yuyuan Road remained, and it became a famous street at that time.
According to the elders, Yuyuan Road used to be very quiet, but then slowly became lively. The Yu Garden today may be very different from the Yu Garden of the last century, but the old villas, old houses, old lanes, and other old phoenix trees on the roadside can also remind us of the past.
