Beijing East Road is the earliest road from west to east in the British concession in Shanghai. It can directly reach the Huangpu River.
In the concession era, the eastern section of Beijing East Road was mostly foreign banks and banks; the middle and western sections were mostly hardware, building materials, and electrical and mechanical shops. The current street layout is still preserved.
