Walk in Görlitz, Germany

Walk in Görlitz, Germany

Görlitz is a town in the German state of Saxony. It is located on the Lusatian Neisse River, and is the largest town in Upper Lusatia as well as the second-largest town in the region of Lusatia, after Cottbus.

It is the easternmost town in Germany, and lies opposite the Polish town of Zgorzelec, which was the eastern part of Görlitz until 1945.

Görlitz is known for its well-preserved old town with the late-Gothic St. Peter’s church.

On this walk we visit the old town of Görlitz and even cross the Neisse river for a peek in Poland. Finally, we walk back to the Görlitz train station, where we conclude our walk.
