Spiaggia di Piscinnì – Domus de Maria, Sardinia, Italy
Domus de Maria is a comune in the Province of South Sardinia in the Italian region Sardinia, located about 35 kilometres southwest of Cagliari.
Spiaggia di Piscinnì is the beach in the territory of Domus de Maria and to give it its name is the Spanish tower nearby.
The wide beach is of white and soft sand that plunges into wonderful crystalline waters that take on shades between blue and turquoise.
In addition to being a destination for families, it is also coveted by fishing and snorkeling enthusiasts.
Behind the beach is the pond (Stagno di Piscinnì), rich in plant varieties, which has become a site of community interest. Being an area dedicated to breeding, it is common, especially in the low season, to meet with grazing cows or goats, who ‘relax’ between the pond and the beach.
