Red-crested Cardinal – Natural Bird Sound

The red-crested cardinal is a songbird, the species belonging to the family of tanagers.

Notwithstanding its similar name, this bird is not closely related to the true cardinal family. It is sometimes known as the Brazilian cardinal.

Feature:
28 cm in length. Iris dark brown. Flesh-colored mouth. Feet greyish-yellow.

Male and female body feathers are similar. The head and top of the head are towering crown feathers. The neck is red, the chest, flanks, and abdomen are white, and the back, wings, and tail feathers are gray.

Distributed:
North Argentina, Bolivia, South Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay and other South American regions.
