Landscape Photography – Ladies’ View, Killarney, Ireland

Waiting in Landscape Photography can be a challenge but if you wait long enough and have vast about of patience then the light should eventually come and this is what happened on this afternoon at one of the most famous and impressive views in Killarney National Park.

Killarney is a town in County Kerry, southwestern Ireland.

Ladies View is a scenic viewpoint on the Ring of Kerry tourist route about 19 kilometres from Killarney along the N71 road to Kenmare, in the Killarney National Park in Ireland. The Irish Times ranked Ladies View as one of the most photographed places in Ireland, while the Daily Edge ranked the views amongst Ireland’s finest on Instagram.

The view here is probably the best known of Killarney and is a major attraction for visitors.

Queen Victoria’s ladies-in-waiting visited here during the royal visit in 1861. They were so taken with the view that it was named after them.
If you walk up the road from the viewing point there is another parking area and a path that leads to a wonderful view of the upper lake.
