Invigorating Khmer Traditional Pinpeat
The Khmer people (ជនជាតិខ្មែរ) are an Austroasiatic ethnic group native to Cambodia.
The majority of the Khmers follow Theravada Buddhism. Significant populations of Khmers reside in adjacent areas of Thailand (Northern Khmer) and the Mekong Delta region of neighboring Vietnam (Khmer Krom).
The Pinpeat (ពិណពាទ្យ) is the Khmer traditional musical ensemble. It has performed the ceremonial music of the royal courts and temples of Cambodia since ancient times.
